These have been done for a while now.. I did them last Friday, but we had company staying with us and then the kids started back to school and I just haven't had time to post them.

Okay.. so my husband who I've trained to have an eye for {all things gritty} said that he thinks I should offer the wide layered flower headband/ear warmer with a smaller layered flower option for those with shorter hair or who just prefer it that way, {I think that means he prefers it that way.. anyhoo} and actually I already had someone with shorter hair ask that I make hers that way and I'm totally fine with that.

So with the smaller flower it will sell for $15.00 each {instead of $16.00} and still $14.00 each when you buy 2 or more!!!

**Oh and one more thing, if you want your headband and/or bracelets to be made with more than one color of yarn be sure to let me know. For example: You could do the band color 1 and then on the layered flower you could use another color and layer with color 1! Oh the possibilities of warm flower fuzzies.~

I'm tellin' ya.. it all started with Spark! I've wanted to brush up on my crocheting skills long before that, but after going to Spark... I guess it just lit the fire within and gave me the confidence to just do it! I hear they're going to be planning a Spark No. 2!!! If you didn't go to the first one, you MUST make Spark a priority for 2010~~~ You won't regret it!


Back to Mr. Yarn, I'm so glad we've gotten so close lately.. it was so fun being able to make flower headbands with you for Christmas gifts this year. I made three for my cute babysitter and she texted me and said all of her sisters and her sister-in-law would like to know if they can buy some from me. I've thought about selling them, but it wasn't until someone actually asked if they could buy some, that I realized I really should! It's so exciting... 


So... Mr. Yarn & I are asking you to spread the word, we love spending time together and really want to handcraft some warm flower fuzzies for anyone that wants to partake in their gritty goodness and not look like the rest of the girls out there wearing the EXACT SAME ONES FROM certain stores in the Mall! {i just had to share...}

...this a-ma-zing gingerbread house my sister and her family made! Can you believe it??? I asked her if I could just take up permanent residency! She's always trying to deny all of her Martha Stewart talent and there's just no denying anymore. This things a mansion bursting with oodles of creativity! I told her that my store bought gingerbread house looked like crap now that I'd seen this masterpiece and all I wanted to do is go out gingerbread house smashing.


We all keep telling her she NEEDS to do a blog and she simply refuses, she says she doesn't have time for it. What??? So here I am blogging for the two of us. I already have another post I need to do in her behalf  to showcase some very cute scarves she finished crocheting a while ago..  I'll save that for another day though, I wouldn't want to overwhelm anyone with her abundant knowledge of goodness and talent all at once. Maybe I should just change the name of my blog to "all things gritty... {WE} heart."
